How do we do it?

Designing and delivering an effective data warehouse / business intelligence / reporting solution presents different challenges, compared with traditional projects for building operational systems. There are unique business requirements to met, and the project team must be efficiently guided through the process.

FDL does not apply a static set of technologies or techniques. Our success is always the result of working alongside you, the client, using a robust yet flexible development process that we adapt to suit your unique needs.

Who are we?

Every member of the FDL team is a high calibre professional. We have built extensive technical expertise and industry knowledge, through our work with client in all phases of the project lifecycle.

There is no substitute for experience in the design and delivery of analytical and reporting solutions. Many individuals and organisations claim capability, but few really do have extensive experience.

Company Structure and History

FDL is the merger of the Business Intelligence capabilities of two well established IT services companies, firstBASE and Ardent Consulting. firstBASE has been developing web-based e-commerce solutions for some of New Zealand’s largest corporations since 1997. In 2004 it was a finalist in the 2004 Microsoft Worldwide Partner Program Awards. The selection recognised excellence in the design, development and delivery of Project ECLIPS - a ground breaking initiative for Northland District Health Board. Ardent Consulting focused on all aspects of Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence solutions.

FDL forms part of the Fulcrum Decision Group. Also part of the group are:
