Why is nobody using our application?
“They just don’t use it”, is a common cry. When there is an unexploited data
warehouse or reporting solution, it is often the users who are blamed. Although
this is a possibility, it is not the most reason. If the tool was useful it
would be most probably be used – a platitude but true.
There may well be something wrong with the solution itself. This could be any
number of things; however there are some common suspects.

The data is not trusted i.e. not felt to be accurate.

It takes too long to produce the relevant reports.

The data is not available in a timely fashion.

The users don’t understand the data.
The good news is that these things may be less difficult to fix than you think.
